Recently Sanfeng Covanta signed the Operation and Maintenance Contract with PJT for its Phuket 2×350t/d Waste to Energy Project in Thailand, providing 9 years’ O&M service for the whole plant. Sanfeng Covanta blazed a trail for the Chinese WTE enterprises to providing O&M services outside China.
Located in Phuket Island, Thailand, and put in operation in 2012, the Project was invested by IRIS, a Malaysian company, together with PJT, a local company in Thailand. With throughput of 700 tonnes per day and installed capacity of 12MW/h, it is the first WTE plant that has ever been put in operation in south-eastern Asia. Relying on its rich O&M experience, Sanfeng Covanta will bring more environmental friendly, economic and stable operation for the plant. Furthermore it will set a bench mark of operation and maintenance of WTE plant in south-eastern Asia and help the Thai people as well as its yearly 10 million plus tourists worldwide get to know the Waste to Energy is the optimal choice for the treatment of municipal solid waste.
